Run-Utsav 

 

    The World Tourism Organization has included the Dhordo village of Kutch Gujrat in the list gateway to the list of the world’s best villages of 2023 for tourism. 

 

     Dhordo is all set to host the Run-Utsav from 10th Nov 2023 to 25th Feb 2024. Dhurdo is part of the great run of Kutch of thar desert region bordering Pakistan.

Kutch is the India s one of the most diverse districts of Gujarat state Gujrat is a celebratory land of crafts, music, dance, people and nature. On the full moon night of the winter every year, a three-day grand festive carnival brimming with hospitality, music and art of the area is hosted and known as the Kutch or Run-Utsav

 

   Every year thousands of visitors go there to feel the vibrant culture and festivity of the Kutch. This is one time when natives of the region and travelers along with Government administrative officers come to celebrate the mystical magic of Kutch and its diversity.

 

   Belonging to the Matwa community from Sindh the local; distinct cultures speak the Kutchhi language, a combination of Sindhi and Gujarati. dhordo is the only village from India to make the list, of 54 worldwide. other villages on the list include Shirakawa from Japan, La Carolina from Argentina, and Cantavieja, Spain.
